About tallow
What is tallow, and why use it on skin?
Tallow is rendered beef fat. We use 100% grass-fed and finished beef tallow from a small farm in Delaware. It is rich in vitamins A, D, E and K and similar to your skin's own oils, so it absorbs easily. Read more: Why Tallow?
Does it smell like beef?
No. Our tallow is rendered three times, specifically for skincare, so it does not smell like beef.
How does tallow feel on skin?
It feels wonderful on the skin. Tallow is very similar in structure to your skin's natural oils, so it absorbs easily.
Which tallow balm should I choose?
All our tallow balms share the same base: grass-fed and finished beef tallow, organic jojoba oil and organic vitamin E. Choose Lavender, Vanilla Bean, or Unscented (Free + Clear).
Using our products
What ages are your products for?
Unscented (Free + Clear) is for any age. Lavender is for ages 6 months and up. Vanilla Bean and all our other products are for ages 2 and up.
What sizes do you offer?
Our tallow balms come in 2 oz and 4 oz. Other products list their size on the product page.
How long does a jar last, and how do I store it?
Store it in a dark, cool place, out of direct sunlight. Stored this way, it lasts about two years.

How fast do you ship, and what does it cost?
Orders ship in 2–4 business days. The shipping fee depends on the weight of your order and is shown at checkout. See our Shipping Policy.
What is your return policy?

Do you offer subscriptions?
Yes. Every product can be set to Subscribe and save. Just choose that option on the product page before you add it to your cart.
